      This isn’t terrorism though is it.
      Pretty annoying, and probably embarassing for MoD security, but nobody was actually *terrorised*.
      If you let your government just call everything terrorism, you’re gonna have a bad time.

      Used to live there in the 80s. Just outside the gates. Like one or two streets away at the time (probably loads now as they were building shedloads at the time). Me and my friends used to just go to the gate with our swimming gear in a towel, and they would let us straight through to use the swimming pool on the base. No ID needed. Every day in the summer hols. Probably knew our fathers, but still…

      This was such a stupid move on their part. As far as we know it’s just Russian backed useful idiots sabotaging military equipment like they’ve been doing in Germany.

      They deserve everything coming their way for protesting in such a Stupid manner.

      The best deterrent is not just a harsh sentence but the certainty of being caught and brought to trial quickly, which is sure to happen.

      I look forward to them receiving the same punishments as Walton and Woodhouse got in 2017, and as those who sabotaged RAF planes bound for Iraq got.

      Only took them a week to find these people. You’d hope that they wouldn’t have made it off of the base but nope. This is the same police force that often don’t investigate burglaries due to manpower issues.

      No doubt they’ll be the usual lot of pro-Palestine supporters/protestors who ironically wouldn’t be allowed to live more than five minutes if they actually went to Palestine.

      Yeah I don’t really care about these protestors. They’re hardly terrorists, but they did do crimes and that so sure, lock them up for however long that stuff usually gets.

      What I care about is how a bunch of protestors got right up to military equipment on a military base. That should not be possible.

      Potentially treasonous…but definitely not terrorism.

      To be fair their break-in has exposed weak points which can be addressed and worked upon so if anyone that’s actually dangerous were to attempt to break-in then it’ll be harder

      They shouldn’t have done it in the first place but if the UK Military Bases improve security and make it harder for people to break-in then surely that’s a silver lining? If these people were more dangerous than stop oil protesters then a significant amount of equipment could’ve been wiped out…
