    1. All the podcasters and talking heads who claimed Carney was to green, that all of his talk about getting things going quickly would die in parliament seem funny now.

      Carney really is capable of getting things accomplished and I really hope the first projects here are truly shovel ready and get going quickly

      Frankly I don’t really think it should have not passed the Senate, it isn’t a truly democratic institution and as such shouldn’t be making major changes or decisions on legislation passed by a democratically elected institution. If changes were to be made they should have been made in the House.

      I’ll be impressed if they admit that „national building“ and „profit“ do not often go hand in hand.
      The TransCanada Railway united Canada, but wasn’t profitable for generations, if ever. If Canada wants to really make some „national building“ projects, then profit must not be given the highest priority.
