I’m going to go out on a limb and say there’s a lot more than „stress“ going on with his teeth/mouth.
They weren’t *his* teeth! Stress led to not keeping track of his prized tooth collection. The teeth he collected from actors on the show.
He’s probably grinding them down in his sleep. I was this way during school. Waking up in the middle of the night to spit out teeth fragments? Yeah…

It’s probably a very bad translation. Other languages have lots of different sayings as well that mean different things. It’s likely not literal.
Somehow that seems fitting. Not that he deserves it just that with the overall disturbingly human themes of the show it fits quite well.
