There are parallels between this situation and the Australian tourist.
They questioned the Australian for hours over their views on Israel/Palestine and only found an excuse to deny entry AFTER grilling them for political motives.
Something tells me this is similar. It would be an interesting case study if something similar happened but instead finding pro-Trump memes. Wonder if they would turn a blind eye to a pipe then.

He was denied due to the photo. They say he admitted to using drugs, but he said he had used marijuana in the past, but only in locations where it was legal. That is clearly a pretext, I have seen multiple reports where Canadians have been denied entry because they responded to a question whether they support Trump in the negative. This is fascism, and everybody knows it.

Musk admitted to regular heavy drug use and was granted access to our most sensitive data systems. This individual was denied entry to the country. If it were not for double standards, Republicans would have no standards at all.
A big part of the problem is that the US government’s word isn’t particularly trustworthy.
Normally, we would all take CBP’s denial that this wasn’t the issue at face-value. Now you have to wonder if he wasn’t bullied because of the photo and CBP agents went fishing for something to stick him with.
How many tourists enter the US having had marijuana or another drug at some point in their lives, and why is it only suddenly an issue with this one guy?
