Ich ziehe diesen Herbst höchstwahrscheinlich zu Gent und frage mich, was das Gesetz/die Regeln dafür ist, meinen Toyota Crown GRS214 nach Belgien mitzunehmen (von es ist sich sogar wert).
Es wurde 2022 aus Japan importiert und war einige Jahre in Finnland, so dass es sich verändert hat, dass es in Finnland akzeptiert wurde. Erlaubt Belgien überhaupt das Import dieser Autos? Es gibt ziemlich wenig Verrussung online darüber.

A lot depends on the work done. Custom brake line and pads usually is a no-no as an example. [FEBIAC](https://www.febiac.be/en/article/tuning-what-is-allowed) should give you some more insights as to what is allowed.
Homologation is at European level I think, so you might be good.
If you have an EEG certificate it’ll be easy enough.
If you don’t, you are in a world of uncertainty.

Does it have an euro rating for emissions. Gent has a LEZ zone.
Cars in Belgium require a certificate of conformity. If the car has been inspected in Finland, then that certificate has probably already been issued, but it is still worth checking that everything is in order. The cost of road tax is another matter, of course.
Contact Portello Motorsports (they’re in Nieuwpoort), they import and work on JDM cars all the time and they’re very responsive. I have not done business with them myself but hear a lot of good things.

Don’t know about tarmac quality in Finland, but be prepared for Belgian on those low profile tires 😭 It’s a minefield of potholes here 🤪

If it was legal in finland you should be able to have it registered here. But make sure your lowering springs aren’t too low, you need at least 9 or 11cm of clearence i think
If the car has had a plate in Finland and succeeded the technical controls there, you are most probably completely fine.
You don’t need the certificate of conformity people tell you about. If the car still has plates in Finland when you register it here they should not even ask for it. I imported a **heavily** modified campervan from Germany 2 years ago and what I had to do was :
– Fill in an import form called „E705“ online
– Did the pre-registration online for the DIV with my vehicle’s previous plate documents (from germany)
– Did the technical control
– Contacted my insurer, filled in the immatriculation document (plate request) and gave it to the DIV
– A few days later I had my plate and was cruising
The whole procedure (from the day I brought the van back to the day I got my plate and could drive) took 20 days.
