    1. Apple poured some good money into making F1 – a Formula 1 racing movie starring Brad Pitt – and it wants its customers to know that. To that end, many people, including some Verge staffers, noticed an unusual Apple Wallet notification this morning that’s both an advertisement and promotion for the film.

The notification prompts users to save on movie tickets via Fandango with a promotional code. It looks like Apple’s trying to juice the film’s opening weekend by tempting users into a deal.

    2. This was so random. The only other wallet notifications I’ve ever received were for purchases I had just made.

I thought it was a super creepy promo since I had just googled the color fandango.

Oh no, I’ve never seen a notification before. Do I need a Genius Bar reservation? Can Apple support help me remove it? Does my warranty cover that?

    5. Turn the setting off in your wallet if you don’t want them. Its under offers and promotions in the wallet settings.

    6. I still cannot escape that shitty U2 album. I have deleted it so many times turned every thing off still comes back!

I dismissed it thinking my new phone mistakenly had fandango notifications on, but this was the wallet app? Ah hell no I’m not happy about that

    8. This straight up pissed me off. Literally nobody wants ads and this is a FORCED ad. It’s giving your weird uncle asking for cash energy.

    9. Well I just turned off all notifications for wallet. Way to go apple, now I will just stop using wallet.

U2 was forced into our library and you had to manually delete it AND they won some award for most digital downloads or some bs.

Call me a biased often movie-goer, but with the hundreds of notifications a day I get cause I’m too lazy to delete apps, a simple “hey here’s 10$ free dollars off your overpriced movie ticket this weekend” is welcome to notify me any day…

      Damn y’all hate easy lol
