„Controversy“ being establishment do-nothing Dems wanted him out for daring to challenge the status quo.

    2. Queue people bringing up his gun control policies despite him not mentioning it at all in this article or when he was Vice-DNC Chairman

    3. Obviously, there’s a generational shift happening in the party. It should have started immediately after Hillary Clinton lost, but people like Pelosi are clinging to their jobs like they’re keeping them alive.

    4. He shouldn’t. Dems have signaled pretty clearly they want and need new leadership.

Just as a side note, anyone else incredibly proud of this kid? I hope he continues to get into good trouble, nice and loud. I’m so tired of these geriatric assholes who haven’t had a serious concern in their lives in decades holding us back.

I like Hogg, but he’s in over his head, and lacks the life experience to plausbly maintain a leadership role in the party. I think he has a lot to learn before he’s ready for a more senior position. We need new leadership in the party. That’s a fact. We need younger people with fresh ideas, and the passion to make real change. But not someone as young, and as ideologically inflexible as David. We don’t need to swing from one extreme to the other. I wish him well, and hope he continues working within the party to help us defeat the Republicans and get setup for the 2028 elections.

I actually agree that the dnc needs to be shaken up and a lot of the old guard needs to go. BUT hogg is not the one to do it. His political instincts are shit and his whole schtick is trying to hold dnc feet to the fire on an issue that loses them elections. Sometimes i suspect hogg is a republican plant. You couldn’t design a better plan to undermine democrats’ chances.

Isn’t this the same guy that cheered a Democrat losing to a Republican in Alaska?

    9. I am so tired of this drama llama.

Just run in the new election. The first one wasn’t run according to the rules. Nobody kicked him out. Just run the damn election including women in the race like it was supposed to be done.

    10. Until Dems stop protesting their own party, you will continue to lose elections.

I am all for a younger generation stepping up and leading. But Dems love to protest vote on single issues, sit out, then turn on their candidates when they lose.

The reason why the GOP wins is cause they fall in line, and over the past 25 years have shifted further right. They still fall in line.

Dems need to do the same, cause the shit we are in is because their voters constantly try holding candidates to impossible thresholds when literally you need to keep the GOP out of office.

In DC our 88 year old Non voting Representative is running again and appears to have significant dementia. Its a pattern. These people are dying in office and its lead to some bad outcomes. For instance, RBG

    12. Hogg wants to remove inconvenient rights from people. He and Donald Trump are similar like this.

      Turn away from David Hogg.

If you want a case study from recent memory, just look at the Canadian Liberal Party this past year.

38 comments goes to show how heavily botted some of these posts are good lord

    15. Have you ever seen a dumbass post some
shit like „David Hogg would actually have been bad for the DNC cause its bad for a party to push for certain candidates over others.“  Of course there is nothing wrong with a political party supporting candidates, the issue is when the DNC tips the scales for *bad* candidates.

Anyone else feel like this kid gives off smug asshole vibes? Not anything to do with his politics, just like at a personal level he seems to have a big ego.

    17. David Hogg is one of those “ I’m an extra special person” thinkers. His only accomplishment, that I have noticed, is noise making. He may as well be a Republican for all the “good” he is doing.

    18. PickledLlama on

What fucking controversy? The audacity to tell the decrepit old dems to get out of the way and let people with functional brains in? OH NOOOO HOW DARE HE? Good god, I hate the media in this country.

    19. MaddAddamOneZ on

I mean, there’s no more conflict of interest now that he’s not in DNC leadership so why not?

    20. cursedcalamari on

Good, someone needs to stand up to the old dem guard that continues to stay disconnected from younger generations. They need to go asap.

    21. With everything going in this country, and the world, it’s crazy that defeating David Hogg is the issue the Democrats are prioritizing.

      Absolute joke of a party.
