That’s shocking. People always say such great things about working with Ellen

My friend’s ex wife was a supervising producer on Ellen. Ellen bought her a Mercedes as a birthday present, concert tickets, all kinds of lavish gifts- you name it. But they weren’t gifts. They all came with attachments. If Ellen called and it was 1am, the expectation was wake up and handle it. Handled any and all of it, any hour of the day, and whatever it was it became the single most important thing in her life until the next one. And they were endless. Sometimes Ellen just wanted her there to be around and waste time, off the clock. The guilt trips that Ellen would give if god forbid family was in town or a doctors appointment. Eventually, she had to break the cycle or be broken and by no means did she come out “fine”. It took years to get out of the head fucking and related personal issues that came along (and aided to her divorce).

      The timing is interesting .

Been seeing Ellen D. testing the waters lately to be reintegrated into “acceptable territory”.
