When Trump won last election, I lost my faith with American voters.

Anyone with sense of dignity and honor will never vote for a convicted criminal, rapist and insurrectionist.

An insurrectionist isn’t allowed by our constitution to run in the first place. Therefore, it is about time to trash our constitution because It has been powerless against Trump. He can do anything without impunity.

    2. President Donald Trump claimed during his 2024 campaign for president that America had fought “no wars” during his first presidency, and that he was the first president in 72 years who could say that.

[This was not](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/01/13/trump-falsely-claims-no-terrorist-attacks-no-wars-during-his-presidency/), strictly speaking, true. In his first term, Trump intensified the [air war against ISIS in Iraq and Syria,](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/jan/23/us-air-wars-trump) ordered airstrikes against Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian regime in response to chemical weapons use, and escalated a [little-noticed counterinsurgency campaign in Somalia](https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/03/trump-administration-somalia-war-civilian-casualties.html). But in those cases, Trump could say, with some justification, that he was just dealing with festering crises he had inherited from Barack Obama.

Likewise, the president has repeatedly claimed that the wars in Gaza and Ukraine never would have happened had he been president when they broke out, rather than Joe Biden. That’s a counterfactual that is impossible to prove, and he [may have been overly optimistic](https://www.vox.com/world-politics/405452/ceasefires-gaza-ukraine-trump-diplomacy) in his promises to quickly negotiate an end to both those conflicts, but it’s fair to say that both are wars Trump inherited rather than chose.

This time, it’s different. This time, it’s Trump’s war.

On Saturday night, the United States bombed three nuclear sites in Iran at Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, [ending weeks of speculation](https://www.vox.com/world-politics/416774/iran-israel-attack-us-war) about whether the US military would join the Israeli war on Iran that began more than a week ago.

      In my mind’s eye, I can already see Trumps Truth Fecal post in a near future reading;

„I only ever wanted peace, but because of the HORRIBLE and DISGRACEFUL acts of OBAMNA, HILLARY and SLEEPY JOE, bombing the terrorist DEMOCRAT supporting country of Iran was inevitable.

      God bless you all!“

And his voterbase believes every damn word of it.

    4. His defense will be some shit like „Peace through war“ or „Peace by attacking and crippling them“

    5. Expert-Explorer8894 on

Trump swatted a hornets nest. We’re in danger of escalating into another forever war. Also the IAEA didn’t detect the elevated presence of radiation in the air around the bombing sites. The fissile material could’ve been preemptively removed in anticipation of Shitler’s illegal act.

We can label it all we want, but Ronald will find a way to put any blame on someone else when this falls apart.

Take for instance Tommy Fugate. If Iran decides to turn on its terrorism-machine, do we really believe Tommy will be able to handle it? A security wall that’s been compromised by Trump and DOGE?

    7. Let’s hope Trumps war goes the way of other trump branded things like trump u, trump steaks, trump airlines, etc and fails. The world has enough war, we don’t need more.

    8. I am convinced this is because he didn’t like his birthday parade. Like a kid having a tantrum.

Washington hyperventilates over Iran’s nuclear program, not because they genuinely believe Iran would launch a suicidal first strike (they wouldn’t, mutual destruction is bad for business), but because deep down, they’re terrified of payback. It’s the same pathological fear that drove slaveowners to argue that emancipation would lead to a „race war“, not because the enslaved actually wanted vengeance, but because the oppressors knew what they had done. They projected their own cruelty onto their victims, assuming freedom would mean retaliation, when in reality, the oppressed just wanted to be left the hell alone. Iran isn’t some cartoon villain twirling its mustache over a nuke, it’s a nation that’s been invaded, sanctioned, and sabotaged by the US for 70 years. Its nuclear program is deterrence, not Armageddon. But America, like every empire before it, can’t fathom that its victims don’t dream of conquest, just sovereignty.

    10. Trump pulls out of Iran Nuclear agreement.
Iran does not move forward with nuclear arms.
Israel attacks Iran for nuclear arms?
Trump attacks Iran for nuclear arms?

Once again Biden or one of those Binden robots 🤖 have their fingerprints all over this and as always 😡is left to clean up the mess

My racist aunt just informed me that this is all in fact Obama’s fault

It’s AIPAC. After 20 years we need to start naming the villian. Aipac aipac aipac

    14. Reno_valetore on

Nope, it’s americas war. You elected him/didn’t show up for voting/didn’t resist sufficiently. Own it

    15. Its not just a trump’s war, its a war of every american citizen. Americans elected him, he didn’t just usurp the power, he is a conduit of a bloody will of americans

    16. Difficult_Waltz_6665 on

I suspect Trump will personally benefit from this, seems strange for all the chest beating coming from some quarters in the US over the last few months it still remains the puppet of certain countries in the middle east – mostly Israel and Saudi Arabia.

    17. BrightMarvel10 on

What is Marco Rubio thinking in that picture? The lights are on, but there’s definitely no one home.

    18. And those who voted for him will say that it’s great he’s doing this for the good of the country. Wonder how patriotic they’ll feel dying for another country again when they eventually get deployed for another decade-long „military action.“

    19. It’s incredible how the US system just let him start an unconstitutional special operation/incident/war like that.
He is untouchable, the US is now a dictatorship.

    20. Listening_Heads on

“Trump had to do this because Obama gave them billions in cash and allowed them to get nukes”

—literally the conservative sub right now

    21. But you know the clown cult will buy whatever he says. So it will be biden’s and Obama’s fault when this goes tits up.

And it’s president shitler so it’s definitely going tits up. But this time America has never been weaker for a terrorist attack. And that’s what you get when you have MAGA clowns in charge. 🤷‍♀️

    22. It’s Trumps war, but I have come to realize there are 3 voting factions, 30% Republicans, 30% Democrats and 40% of the rest. The 40% don’t watch Fox News, so can not be lead by the Australians, they don’t read, don’t care about the constitution, are disillusioned, some are educated some are not, they are not altruistic enough to be on the left. While they may lean one way or another, they may or may-not vote depending on what is happening to them personally leading up to the election. They don’t care if the previous president or Congress caused their condition. To think this block of people care about whether Trump lied about starting a war or not is not reality. What is reality is what will happen to the price of gas, to them it will matter.

    23. Another republican war.

They’ll blame Democrats & Leftists again though so Trump will never face consequences.

    24. Prior-Comparison6747 on

I mean, I knew this was a collossally stupid madman with no one to inhibit him in his second term, but Jesus.

We’re only six months into this, and he already has a masked gestapo on the streets and a war of choice.

Oh, and that recession is now a certainty, considering what will happen to fuel prices.

We are fuuuuuuuuuucked. All of us.

    25. It could not be more clear that Israel runs the USA. The shame should be overwhelming.

    26. MuttTheDutchie on

lol at all the republicans who told me for 4 years that Biden and Kamala were pro war and that Trump was peaceful because he withdrew from the middle east conflict. Lol at you.

    27. Nah. Give it like 2 weeks and legacy media will be blaming democrats and Biden for not doing more to prevent this from happening. I’m so tired of this cycle of abuse and lies.

    28. NefariousnessThin174 on

Somebody told him this action would get him the Nobel Peace Prize — that’s his obsession right now.

    29. Patrick_Atsushi on

I think his reason behind the decision is that this war is a very cheap war and Ukraine war is a costly war. He let Israel start the dirty thing first and he thinks he can pick it up with minimum cost.

    30. ButterscotchLow8950 on

Bruh, he will find a way to be blaming Biden for this shit by noon today.

      🤷🏽‍♂️

    31. Wars in the Middle East have gone so well over the course of history, I’m sure this will be a great success.

    32. If/when it all goes sideways he’ll find a way to blame Biden and Democrats. “Wahhh, I wouldn’t have done it if Biden (or Obama) hadn’t put me in that position. It’s not my fault!”

    33. Just read on r /stockmarket in reply to the US plans to annex Greenland, Panama and Canada:

      >Questionably_Chungly • 5h ago

      >Nah they dropped that plotline ages ago. Why? I dunno, seems the admin has the attention span of a drunk pigeon.

    34. I have no sympathy for Iran but I absolutely feel less safe now than I did 2 days ago.

    35. DRAFT! AMERICAN 🇺🇸 DrAFt Coming! yay ! Money 💰 for the Trumps! And Republicans!!!

    36. Only if it goes well. If it doesn’t, he’ll blame someone else and MAGA will follow.
