Most people don’t sit around stalking politics subs. They want someone with a clear vision to know more than them about this stuff

I love how MSM is trying to make out Mamdani to be the villain and that it’s either him or Cuomo but like they don’t even talk about anybody else in this race when it’s ranked choice? I know they’re trying to throw everything at the wall to get Cuomo elected but jesus christ.
Anyway, rooting for Mamdani.

I can’t help thinking that the changing of voters priority from crime to housing costs was not so much a result of Mamdani’s proposals to freeze rents, as it was the increasing cost of housing in the city.
To shape opinions costs far more than most candidates can raise and spend. The key to winning is to stay tuned to changing conditions – paying attention to what is really changing on the streets and in people’s lives will make candidates far more appealing than paying attention to opinion polls. Opinion polls tend to lag behind the times in terms of what people will be most concerned with when they actually get into the voting booth.

Wrong. Mamdani is running on a bunch of things people want. He’s showing Dems what people want.

Yeah, i would wait until he’s won before publishing stuff like this. The fact that Cuomo is even on the ballot says a lot about how stupid the average voter is.

People want progressive change. No candidate, not even Obama has delivered that, not really

Finally a man who incentives voters as opposed to Cuomo, a dishonest, misogynist who abuses and exploits women

It’s almost as if having simple, populist campaign platforms is appealing.

And they usually do. Manchin voted with Biden’s agenda like 90% of the time. You’ll probably need to target more of the center left politicians because there aren’t many center right Dems anymore. I’m talking about the Jon Testers of the party.

Gee, leaders leading. What a preposterous concept. We better get a 100 person think tank comprised of all our unqualified family members to study this concept.

This is literally not what Mamdani is doing lmao.

Mamdani is what we should want, but it’s assuredly a lock that Cuomo gets voted in.

How about you wait for him to win before you make any proclamations about what he can show anyone.

News flash: he won’t win.

Left wing ideas are popular. Bernie would have beat Donald’s ass in 2016.

This is a repeat of Bernie, and many other popular progressive and left leaning candidates. And unfortunately it is true. Beyond voter apathy, short memories, and the powerful influence of th establishment the dems have shown they can move people where they want them.
If the DNC and the establishment stood behind mamdani he would win in a staggering landslide. If the establishment stayed neutral he would still likely win.
And this will be used by many acting in bad faith as proof left of center can’t win and is bad and that’s why we need more AIPAC centrists. FDR would be viscerally opposed by the modern establishment, as it shares more in common with the business plot.
I don’t know what the solution to this is. Mamdani is going to lose, and it’s going to destroy any chance we have at pushing strong anti fascist candidates for a very long time.
MMW, this election will shift politics so hard to the right if he loses as to guarantee the total collapse of this nation.

I mean, you say this, but then at the same time he’s still not leading the polls.
The dem voters would still rather elect a corrupt sexual offender in Cuomo

I hope Mamdani wins, but I also hope he doesn’t fuck it up by trying to do too much at once. Progressives tend to have dreams that are much larger than reality will allow and they believe so hard that they often fail to see the dumb reasons a lot of untested stuff can fail. Like how all the sanctuary city stuff got used against Dems to make them look like they support illegal immigration and crime.
But we need more progressives in office.

Housing is a winning issue all by itself. But means saying no to corporations which Republicans never consider and Dems always dream of doing but chicken out on. So yeah not holding breath on actual change but still smart campaign move.
