This authoritarian fuck isn’t planning for any change in the power structure. He aims to stay.
This despicable asshole waging war within our country and across the globe. Be it through tariffs or literal bombings. And then failing to stop every other war he promised to end.

News channels are acting like it was a success. They have NO idea if it is an immediate success yet. They don’t know if the nuclear material and such were even there. And they don’t know if there were additional tunnels they did not know about. What is certain is that Iran will never work with the IAEA or anyone again if it tries to develop a bomb. They may just go the dirty bomb route because they have the material to do that and probably 50,000 people in the region, definitely more after this, willing to martyr themselves with a dirty bomb.
Aside from that, they won’t know if it was a good decision for days, weeks, months, and years. Iran is the second most populous country in the Middle East. 91 million people– which is more than double Iraq. Aside from immediate risks, like starting a larger war with Iran, there obviously could be retaliation or disruption of the Straits of Hormuz. Destabilizing such a country can have horrific consequences far down the road. You could end up with wars, such as between Iran/Iraq. New terrorists are being created around the world, not just in Iran. You have the Suni/Shia divide which may very well exacerbate. If there is a revolution, then you have carryover issues, possibly with neighboring countries. No one knows what will happen. They need to shut up about success.

It’s not the point. I think trump is trying to tie the US up on Iran so we take resources and attention off of Ukraine and his otherwise failing administration

The Republicans are going to say we have to further cut funding for essential programs to pay for this totally unnecessary and unwanted conflict with Iran, which will go on for a least a decade. The poor, working class, and middle class will have to suffer so we can pay for this war being pushed by billionaires and ideological interests.

Anyone who voted for Trump is my personal enemy and, more importantly, an enemy of the American people. No regard for familial or friendship status. I will never speak to them again.
Instead of being in charge of foreign affairs on a global scale, the U.S. is basically at the mercy of whatever Israel and Russia wants at this stage.
Ignoring 80 years of regime change mistakes is policy at this point. The US government, backed by Wall Street and corporate America, has made the wrong policy decisions almost every step of the way since 1963.
