The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. The public has the right to be safe. Victims of crime have the right to be safe. There are some people who aren’t fit to be in society and who need to be removed from society for the safety of themselves and others. This approach of letting mentally unwell people who are violent run unchecked through our communities isn’t working.
