    1. All the corporate productivity in the world is useless if people can’t afford to live.  He raises the issue of companies shafting employees on pay, then neglects to suggest any way that his tax cuts would address that.

If investors are going to invest they need an economy to invest in. They’re not in the charity business.

We need an aggressive stimulative government to drive a vibrant economy and then no amount of tax is going to hold investors back.

Trickle down does not work. Coyne? He’s from the last century, right?

It argues for abolishing corporate taxes.

So, who benefits from such a policy? Mostly the ultra-rich, and to some degree the very rich. Some are Canadian, but a lot of them are foreign. Because, they are the ones who own the corporations. With the taxable capital gain at 50% and their ability to write-off most of their expenses, they barely pay any tax and at a much lower % than a typical employee who is taxed to the very last penny and has no tax planning options.

So let’s say that corporate tax is abolished or reduced. This leads to a much bigger government budget deficit, which means increasing taxes (directly and indirectly) on the employees and slashing services (healthcare, child-care, etc.), which also hits employees.

This is hit article to misguide everyday Canadian against their own interest.
