    1. > „Billy Bob Thornton was hosting and he was running his monologue wearing his baseball hat,“ Meyers recalled. „And Phil Hymes came up out on the floor and said to someone else, ‚Somebody tell him to take his hat off.'“

      > Apparently, Thornton overheard the remark and retorted, „Hey old man, if you’ve got something to say, say it to my face,“ according to Meyer

      > Meyers, who served as the show’s head writer from 2006 to 2014, also took care to stress that the confrontation wasn’t as public as it might sound. „Now I also want to clarify Billy Bob Thornton did not do this in front of everybody,“ Meyers added. „He walked off stage and he went and talked to Phil Hymes, real man to man.

I love BBT, but he seems like an ass. While dating Laura Dern he married Angelina Jolie. Dern said she heard about it on the news. Ouch.

I don’t think Billy Bob is a bad person, but he’s definitely a twat. That Canadian radio show interview with the boxmasters… oh man.

    4. The “fenced in area” skit was really good. That said, it’s hard to believe someone took the time to “write” an article this inconsequential.

    5. “I sure do like them French fried potatoes.”
      “No you don’t Oprah.”

„Ultimately, Meyers said the two had a civil conversation after their initial dust-up.“

EW is almost getting just as bad as the People Magazine website lately.

    7. In two years Seth Meyers will have been off snl for as long as he was on it. I have to hope and pray that by that point he will be out of snl stories to tell.

    8. Generally, the lighting director or gaffer is not supposed to address talent directly. You are supposed to talk to the 1st Assistant Director, who then relays your message. Thornton knows this. I get his point, in that, he didn’t have to yell it out, but the LD would have gotten a talking to from the producer for addressing talent directly.

    9. BBT has gravitas. He’s seemed like a perpetually middle aged/ old scrawny dude for most of his life but just something about the way he would look at you if you did something wrong.

Him in Fargo season one is one of the all time frightening characters.
