I feel like I am taking crazy pills that anyone is even considering voting for Andrew Cuomo in the first place.  WTF.

I feel like even if Zohran wins, Cuomo supporters will split the vote by voting for him as an independent.

    3. this is just a mayoral election. but it will reveal some important things.

there is no reason to stand for a party that stands for nothing, that’s why corporate media has to bend over backwards and use every bad faith tool in the game to prop up their plant.

i think cuomo will probably win. and that will finalize for me that voting will not fix our problems and that this will be a many generation fight to grow a social revolution strong enough to take back our country. but if zohran wins, maybe we’ll have a shot at mid-terms to elect honest good faith representatives who can get in and bully the elder neolibs into doing their jobs. if that happens we’d have a very slim chance at taking back power in 2028, slim, unlikely, but still some level of hope.

    4. Come on NYC.. give yourself a chance at something better than the corrupt sex offender.

    5. Come on NYC don’t elect the corrupt sex criminal when you have clearly better options.

Zohran seems all right. Its a shame Reddit supports him though. Thats not going to help at all.

Never forget, young folk – regardless of whoever wins, we always support the Democrat.

The Democratic party is going to throw all the money they have at stopping Mamdani. If he wins the primary, expect the Democratic party to try to invalidate the results in order to deny him the position as the party’s candidate for the general election. If they fail to come up with a way to invalidate the primary, expect the Democratic party to declare him an unacceptable usurper and support an independent candidate against him in the general.

„Vote blue no matter who“ was only ever a demand that people vote for corporate democrats, the Democratic party has no intention of applying that standard to someone from the left. If Mamdani wins the primary, that will go out the window in an instant.

The Bulwark can’t shut up about how much they hate Mamdani. And they don’t even live in NYC.

    9. I don’t know, I heard him on at least one left leaning podcast if not more. The pundits seemed open to him as an option.

Imagine a world where vested interests worked overtime to elect a reformer.

Jk. That will never happen. The issue with unregulated campaign donations is that the richest donors are all conservative (alt-right fascists) or at best centrists (in many ways more conservative than radical conservatives)

I am glad to see some good Dems trying to save the Opposition Party from self destruction.

I know nothing about Mamdani, but how can people really be considering Cuomo? Isnt there an ok option?

I’m not in NY. Where can I donate? The site offers me no options.

We are tired of rich azz holes ruining shiz. Also big media is losing gen X and younger centers to podcasts and other media.

    15. please please mamdani win. he’s one of the very few lights we have in this dark ass world.

    16. His election is detrimental for the extremely wealthy. His progressive policy is too „Marxist equity“ for the entire nation to see.

    17. SquarebobSpongepants on

If wealthy people don’t want him, probably a good choice then.

Mamdani’s base is full of young educated white people. He is not at all popular amongst the Black, Latino, Asian, heck even the South Asian community is split on him.

I’d vote for Mamdani if I live in New York because I’m young I’m willing to risk it for a better future and if it fails I’ll just move out but lets not get it twist. He is NOT the people’s choice.

Your average born and bred NYer that is planning to spend the rest of their days here working and being with family is voting for Cuomo, the guy who proved himself to be rock solid during COVID. In times of uncertainty stability is what the general people want.
