This is the agency that would investigate things like the West, Texas fertilizer plant explosion.

He’s nuts. Pure and simple the man is not mentally stable. Each and every day he makes us less safe but doesn’t seem to give a shit.

Sounds like a capitalist wet dream. Less accountability and more externalized cost on consumers?! Yum yum.

    4. During the Go-Go 80s I remember being explicitly taught about various economic systems, and every textbook every teacher sure did say that of course pure unfettered free market is dangerous and stupid, there will always be some role for government, duh.

Apparently they were wrong. We’re rapidly on the way to zero de facto regulation. Time to open up betting pool on how long until rivers catch on fire again.

But of course he did. What’s next? Encouraging 5 year olds to smoke cigarettes at lunch?

Don’t worry, I’m sure the chemical companies will do through and unbiased investigations of their mishaps.

Trump and his crew are not very big on the environment, safety, working conditions… you know the kind of stuff working in class people have to live with and deal with.

The fucker is not coming up with this garbage by himself. I’m sure scum bag lobbyists for the worst of the worst chemical company’s have been lobbying for this bullshit for years.

    9. Would a failed rocket launch explosion be one of the things they would have investigated?

Yeah this is a pro oligarchy move for sure . Rich on top – with us poor slugs on bottom with no environment to have our kids grow up in and silent danger around every corner . Keeps us down .

    11. CSB videos and reports are cornerstone for Chemical Process Safety courses at universities for Chemical Engineering grads and used in just about every chemical plant for training purposes. Hopefully some band of companies pulls together to keep this branch afloat. They’re vital to operators and public community safety.

    12. Trying to understand Trump’s mind in shutting down as much safety for Americans as he can. Why? What purpose does it serve him?

That’s ok. Under Trump there won’t be any industrial chemical explosions ^reported ^or ^recorded

Oh, I guess that means there’s going to be a beruit-level mega disaster soon. Closes pandemic response team? COVID happens. Cuts the FAA? Planes crash. I see a pattern.

„Those numbers tell us that Louisiana and Texas really need the Chemical Safety Board, and there will certainly be negative impacts here if it closes down,” said Wilma Subra, an environmental scientist with the Louisiana Environmental Action Network.“

      Typical.

This around the same time Abbot approves using fracking water on agriculture.

Texas is going to be radioactive and visible from space if the GOP isn’t checked.

Upcoming elections – Mark your calendars!TEXAS:
