Besides the overall joyful tone, it has the aesthetic of hobo with a shotgun which i find to be incredibly appealing

HELLLS YES. Time to dig up the OG stuff and watch it again.
Man I remember as a kid I had this oversized comic book about Toxic Avenger, a really PG comic iirc. I loved the character so much but never found any other stuff about him. I think maybe I had an action figure or two? This was before we ever had internet at home.
Im still kind of ify on this movie. I like the original. Yes even the sequels and the Sargent kabuki man NYPD. The idea of a little person playing the lead just seems odd to me. I’ll still see because I like the lead actor and I like troma.
