Is this because there are no fish to pee in the water?
Shower bathing or at the beach bathing??

Note: Bathwaters = The places you go to have a swim, a.k.a the beach…the sea. Not home shower (αυτο καταλαβαίνω)

That’s expected… there is a reason we have some many blue flag beaches
To give some context, the quality is measured on the amount of e coli and other shit bacteria in the water.
So Cyprus scores high because we have a good sewage system, we don’t have a lot of rain or any rivers that collect effluent and runoff as they pass through cities and we don’t have inland bathing areas like lakes or rivers that are more susceptible to pollution from sewage.
What does bathing water even mean? Sea? Fresh water? Swimming pool? Bathtub?
Sounds BS, we don’t have drinking water! How can our water be so clean yet not drinkable?
Had me searching for the UK for a few minutes.. then I realized
Are they drunk? And not even for Cyprus but Bulgaria at second place 🤔
No chance. Too much peepee 😂
I swim 2 x ~5 km open water in the sea each week, here in Larnaca, Cyprus. Due to the poor state of local sewerage and septic systems, I avoid swimming after rainfall — which, while infrequent in Cyprus, can include heavy downpours in January and February. I swim year-round, though I do still get the occasional ear infection once or twice a year, so the water quality is by no means perfect.

The photo chart skipped Albania hard😂 albania last not Poland
I feel the UK’s waters will be towards the bottom of the list.
That 0.8 uncleanliness is Phinikoudes beach where you can find dumps, sorry, had to be said
Water here is good. I do open water swimming in Limassol. I see fish, rays, turtles.. it’s lovely.
But in ladies mile there is a warning about the water quality. And as others have said, after rain and some other days the quality is terrible. But Cyprus is an island in a large sea, so the poo washes away quickly.
Well done tiny yellow splash country whose flag I don’t recognise
