Donald Trump setzt seine dunkelste Agenda im Hinterhof einer kleinen Stadt in Louisiana aus. Absolut niemand da möchte dort darüber sprechen.

    1. > GEO was no stranger to Jena, and Jena no stranger to GEO. They’d been partners for years, back before the Jena facility had been retrofitted for immigrant detention, back before GEO was even called GEO. Now the facility was one of the largest employers in the area: 250 jobs. It was also one of the region’s biggest taxpayers.

      > The remote facility had grown into a central node in a newly established network of immigrant detention centers that span central Louisiana. Immigration advocates refer to this region as “the black hole,” a place where people disappear into overcrowded detention, sometimes for years, often without ever seeing a lawyer or being convicted of a crime. Others are whisked onto deportation flights, headed for countries they’ve fled or never been to. One place where people who have been brought to Jena rarely end up is back at their American homes, in the lives they were living before agents banged on their front doors or raided their workplaces or pulled them over for a traffic stop.

And then a quite striking photo:

    2. Obama was on the verge of shutting down private prisons.

Too bad the DNC failed to excite us enough.

Could someone please post a link to the text? I can’t access it. Thanks

    4. “If there was anything wrong with the facility, we’d object to it”

      But also

“We never go there” and “they don’t tell us anything about it” and “we don’t own it”

They may hate the media who lies to them.

But they seem to reserve their fury for the media that tells them the truth.

    5. Is the video broke?  I’m just seeing a town sign or something?   Where’s the info?

    6. The profit motive is inherently in conflict with incarcerations, law enforcement and rehabilitation. Complete mismatch of objectives.

    7. Pretty soon they will need to fill the beast of the Golden Dome conspiracy. Starting to sound like the show Fallout

    8. Right. A camp where the government concentrates certain population they don’t want.

      You know.

      A concentration camp.

      I don’t get it. It’s a gif of trees and a sign.

      What have I missed?

    10. I don’t see any information? Is this about the migrant plantation/private prison thing he wants to have in place for the people that aren’t deported?

    11. My ex sister in law is from Jenna. She is the most racist person I have ever known. They don’t want to talk about it because they don’t care at all.

That town still calls it’s segregated area the n***** quarters.

Source: a lot of my family lives there

    13. Speaker Mike Johnson … are you aware of how this article makes your state look? This place incites rage, disgust, and perhaps a place where you should be required to visit for a full day so your „religious goodness goals“ can change this ASAP.

Fuck private prison „industry.“ Fuck GEO, wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire.

“The people here don’t like to talk about what goes on down the road.”

Sounds exactly like many of the people who lived in the town near Auschwitz, that claimed to know nothing about what was going on, despite the glow from the crematorium fires and the stench that hung over the town.

    16. Legal_Tradition_2154 on

This is a stupid af alarmist article.

For one – Louisiana is a republican state, the majority of state don’t mind what’s going on. Why would you expect them to have details on what goes on at the facilities in Louisiana for an advocate?

Two – the guy interviewed literally said it to the writer, they don’t see anything and so he can’t report any particular thing the writer is asking. But the writer said “no one there wants to talk about it”?? Way to spin that.

    17. Privatized prisons should be illegal.

If tax payers have to pay for incarceration, then there should NOT be a for-profit company involved.

    18. Porthos1984 on

Its a modern day concentration camp. Even with the Nazis in the community.

Louisiana, figures…where the largest maximum security prison in the US is the state penitentiary Angola. A literal plantation from 1800’s. Named after the African country where it’s slaves were stolen from. The „prison farm“ where their 76% black inmate population does agricultural labor like harvesting crops like cotton. Monitored by „guards“ on horseback armed with guns…

The same state that left prisoners locked in cells in New Orleans Parish prison during Hurricane Katrina as it flooded.

The state with the highest incarceration rate in the country with a strong focus on punishment. Who is always battling it out with Mississippi for last place in state rankings for pretty much everything.

Also in the business of torturing suspected undocumented immigrants, family and all and making them disappear. Yea that’s right on par for them.

    20. Was this or is it the black ops site cops would take ppl there to disappear? No wait, that was the “Brave Cave” in Louisiana.

Was there a documentary on it? I know Dateline/Nightline/or those other tv news mags did a story on it.

Just another illegal thing he’s allowing someone to do so they’ll take the fall for it when it makes headlines.

Fucker can’t take any accountability for anything!!

    21. I am also curious why Biden reneged on closing private prisons. These A-holes have Democrats in their pockets as well.
