      There should be no reason for him to be surprised. The stated price was $142/person, plus tax and tip. They had 5 people (3 adults and 2 kids), 1 additional drink, and a $150 tip.

      Disney is a perfect harbinger of things to come, where the middle class is simply outpriced out of everything, because mega-giant-global-corporation only caters to the top 10% because that is where the best profits are.

      For instance, the profit on this breakfast is approximately $1k. Sure, costs are $10 for food, and they paid several people minimum wage.

      When we went to EuroDisney we dodged all of this shite and just ate at the McDonalds on the way into the park. About 10EUR tops for a McEgg and coffee?

      Of course, if you *want* the whole Disney experience then Disney will be more than happy to give it to you, for the small fee of [all your money]. This isn’t even the most expensive service they’ll provide.

      I did one of the fancy dinners with three and that came in just under $400 so I believe it for five.
