We (the American people, in a general sense) had entire movements against this kind of cruelty from “law enforcement” for decades. Did we learn anything? Fuck no. We turbocharged it, gave them more guns, more vehicles, more equipment, more power.

America has a very sick form of humor with separating family members from minorities populations. They got a kick out of it with slavery and separating black children from their mothers, fathers, etc (And continuously make movies about it…which I believe is a deliberate attempt at romanticizing it.) and have continued to do so since slavery ended with evidence of government involvement of peddling drugs into communities, then over-policing them, and sending them to for profit prisons.
