If they did, it would be political suicide in a time when they’re already breaking records for unpopularity.
British people don’t even want to die for their own country, let alone for the authoritarian government of Israel.

Considering we have recently apprehended a number of Iranian state agents that were preparing imminent terror attacks on UK soil after having crossed the channel on dinghies I kind of understand this. If we ever went to war with Iran we’d probably see *weekly* deadly terror attacks, with considerable support from a sizeable population of British Islamists that would side with the ummah (even if shia) vs kufar.
The UK has basically hobbled the possibility of ever going to war with an Islamist state ever again.

I’m with a friend of mine now who got back from her mum’s funeral there a week ago, I’m sure almost everyone who lives in a western city of any decent density knows well educated Iranian people who have had to flee.

Tone of BBC coverage today suggests she is lying. Feels very similar to 2003.

I’d much prefer it if she said we would join a US attack on Iran, we know how much this government love to U-turn, at least if she said we would, it would most likely mean we wouldn’t, but her saying we won’t is scary because if they do decide to U-turn (as is the norm for this government) then damn 😔
