Der HBO -Schauspieler beschuldigt SNL, „offen schwule Menschen“ schwarze Liste zu erstellen.

It is so hard to say what is reality in these situations. Can I imagine SNL having this policy discriminating against gay people, absofuckinglutely! Is Lorne Michaels notoriously capricious and might he hate someone for any reason whatsoever, goddamn right again. So who the fuck knows?

Edit: Just looked at the wikipedia for people denied from SNL, and it is an insane list of absolute talent. Plenty of gay people on it but also straight. I’ve no clue what it takes but go check out the wikipedia, the list is astounding.

I really appreciate Tim Bagley as a performer, but he’s leveling a strong accusation against SNL here, that isn’t totally supported.

It’s absolutely reasonable to assume that during this man’s time period he was looked over because he was gay. SNL follows the mainstream culture, not the other way around. For most of its run, SNLhas catered to a homophonic audience. I don’t think people understand these days how difficult it was to be gay in the world until very recently, and of course still is.

I don’t there’s a black list for gay comedians, but there’s definitely some lack of representation. I appreciate Bowen Yang, but he’s is like the nutty professor of gay characters.
