No surprise. The Israel Iran war is the most consequential in the region since the Six Day War in 1967. Stakes are super high and only the U.S. has the ability to end it. I don’t think Canada should be disappointed by this development.

I’ll say what I did on the other post.
The man is incapable of sticking to agreements and honesty in general.
It’s very sad that this man is President of the United States of America as by such a position he is able to drag the whole world down to his level. Which is a very very low level.
He is probably feeling overwhelmed and outmatched by the level of economic discussion taking place around the table.
What does he need to do with regards to the Israel/Iran shit show that he can’t do from the G7 summit? Is there no cell phone reception in Kanananaskis or something?
This being announced directly after he posted for everyone to evacuate Tehran (and has since pinned it to his truth social account) has me pretty concerned about what’s going to take place in Iran over the next 24 hours…
And I normally would just say it’s Trump being Trump but Senator Rubio reposted that warning
Either something horrific is about to happen in Iran, or Trump made it up to ‘get out’ of the G7 and wanted an excuse.
Its sad that option B is a very real possibility
This is a pretty big blow for several leaders, including Zelenskyy, Albanese and Sheinbaum, who all made the trip, in part, to meet Trump and now he’s leaves before they can.
This is also something that distracts/takes away from a lot of the conversations tomorrow, a potential blow to Carney as host too.
