honestly I don’t even know what the future of the right will be in BC I still think Rustad will eventually be ousted as leader

Thanks Kevin Falcon for pulling the BC Liberals out of the 2024 election to allow John Rustad to run a „united right“, and leaving these clowns as the only opposition to the NDP…
Politics works better when elections have at least two viable and sane options to choose from, just with different ideas and priorities.
I like the BC NDP, but it’s good to have a credible opposition party, to hold them accountable when they make bad decisions, and to force them not to take people’s votes for granted.

For all the criticisms Rustad gets, he is trying to make the party more mainstream, and those who left the caucus are kind of crazy. Brodie was at a separatist conference a couple days ago, which makes her new party seem DOA

Actual clown party. It’s kind of scary these guys got so close to winning the election when the party is mainly composed of people deemed too fringe and unserious for the BC Liberals.

So weird how a party that recruited anti-vaxxers, homophobes, transphobes, climate-change deniers and pro-Trumpists is inclined to eats its own. Almost as if being full of rage, hate, paranoia and a lack of intellectual curiosity isn’t really a viable political platform. Whatever will their financial backers from Alberta do now?
