Didn’t read the f article, but I’m guessing it boils down to „because drones“.

      Prism tank in order, sir!

What a time to be a 20 year old Private lighting fags off of laser weapons.

We can’t be caught with our pants down in regard to drones like we were with snatch land rovers.

I recently watched a video made by an engineering youtuber that made a genuine laser gun.

I don’t just mean an amped up laser pointer, a genuine laser gun with some destructive power. It’s not as destructive as a conventional firearm but it was certainly an interesting proof of concept.

This is another white elephant. Lasers are terrible weapon against drones. This is a relic of yesterday’s problem which was cost per kill. They get overwhelmed very quickly and are an extremely easily identifiable signature on any battlefield. Itll kill 3 drones of the 6 that come at it ( and cost 1/1000th of the price of the vehicle + laser), and then it’s scrap metal

Love it, Lasers are relatively low cost given their cost per shot and effectiveness.

In 10 years you’ll see shields. We are truely on the route to Sci-Fi fighting

Protip: don’t give the order to GD UK. Just don’t.

And I’m not even British and I don’t want to see British taxpayers money given to them.
