How many times has someone declared that we have a strategy to combat him? People have been defeating him for a decade

All Gavin needs to do is go to his roots. To “be” a leader with a vision. Authorizing gay marriage in SF was a bold and downright decent move. Do more of that.
I love that we have an educated Democrats in office that actually understand the constitution, the separation of powers under that constitution, and know how to articulate in a meaningful way! When you listen to Trump and most of his cabinet, it’s like listening to a bunch of morons that never made it past fifth grade!
He’s doing the right thing but I don’t think it’s anything novel. People are mad at Dems in Congress for not doing anything but they can’t do anything. Governors can actually do things, which is why we’re seeing Newsom, Pritzker, the Maine governor, etc make moves. If Dems in Congress had a majority, they would be trying to do these things too.
Democrats should stop talking like they’re writing college essays all the time and start using plain, simple language.
Anti-intellectualism is widespread and many people think you’re acting like you’re better than them if you come off like that.
They need to stop being so careful with their langjage because people like Trump who spew whatever comes out of their mouth without a filter sound more authentic to people.

Most importantly: control the flow of the conversation. Don’t just let them lead you around. Talk about the stuff they don’t and force them to have to respond.
Maybe he wins his court challenge for control of the national guard and can park them. The LAPD seems to be at the center of conflict far more than any of the federal actors.

According to Reddit, Newsom is the worst. A neoliberal sellout with no principles, a slick, unprincipled politician served up by the Democratic Party to save America, not filet mignon but warmed over meatloaf.
I’m from CA, I’ve always thought Newsom was an effective governor. I don’t agree with everything he does, but I don’t expect purity from my politicians, I expect results. More importantly, the Republicans are afraid of him, and have been gunning for him for years – they tried to have him recalled over COVID – and failed.
What I am seeing right now from Newsom (as well as AOC and Sanders) is leadership, someone who is willing to stand up to Trump. If he runs for President, he’ll have my support.
Democrats on here demanding purity. I am giving my full throated support to any candidate that is not MAGA. YOU SHOULD TRY IT.
