Glad he turned it down, he’d have ruined the vibe of that movie.

Sean Connery passed on the Matrix (Morpheus) because he didnt get it.
Then he passed on Lord of the Rings (Gandalf) because he didn’t get it.
Then he got the offer for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen which he also didnt get, but he decided he wasn’t gonna make that mistake again.
It bombed hard and Sean Connery figured, ‚I guess I just don’t get it at all anymore‘ , and he retired from acting.
