It gives me such a warm, tingly feeling that this entire spectacle was a failure from all angles and that he knows it. I hope it haunts him.
Besides the ridiculous waste of money and the insane inappropriateness of the entire spectacle, I find it hard to believe that both he and his advisors found it a good idea to advertise he is turning 79 years old.

Yeah. I’ve said similar elsewhere, but probably the best thing that could have happened did actually happen.
It went ahead as planned, highlighted his selfishness and arrogance to everyone, and ultimately was a bit shit and embarrassing.
