Did it just have so much kinetic energy that it blew through the missile or does the interceptor detonate in close proximity and missed?

The view from the Jerusalem camera on the left shows whatever happened a few seconds before the main camera.
Missile did the ‘Wololo’ and converted the other missile mid-air.
I’ve seen the full clip and it definitely went boom
My understanding is all ballistic missiles are hypersonic in terminal phase
Ballistic missiles are NOT Hypersonics, there is a distinct difference Mach 5+, maneuverability, ability to avoid defenses, sustained atmospheric flight), this BM(NOT A HYPERSONIC PLEASE) possibly got intercepted, no impact flash, clear view of the interceptor possibly striking it yet the (possibly) inert Missile still falls to the ground and can be dangerous
Thats why they are now arresting people for filming their failures. We gonna be getting less and less good footage 🙁

This feels like an animation. That zoom effect was sus.
How does intercept missiles work? My understanding is that they blow up near the missile/rocket and the fragmentation (or explosion) destroys the target. So maybe the fragmentation missed the target or the missile was moving too fast.
Having said all of that. I don’t have any idea of how all of this actually work. So I’m 90% certain that I’m wrong, and I will be happy to be corrected.
I wonder how long Iran can keep this up. They’ve been shooting a lot of missiles lately.

The Ballistic missile on reentry is at terminal velocity. No force is going to knock that off its trajectory.
