Couldn’t think of a worse—or crazier—face that I would want to show to the world to represent Canada.
This would be like sending Ron DeSantis to the United Nations.
Wouldn’t be surprised if she wore an „I Heart Oil and Gas“ t-shirt and complained to other world leaders about our emissions cap.

If I was Carney, I would be very careful of Smith trying to bypass federal negotiations and trying to speak with US officials in the back of the federal team.

I’m confused as to how this is news. It seems logical that the premier of the province they’re arriving in would be there to greet them.
That feels like basic political protocol. It would be weirder to me if she chose not to be there.

Lol. How pathetic and embarrassing for Canada. Couldn’t they have, quite literally, gone out on the streets and picked any random person that would better represent Canada? Well, maybe not in Alberta – but I would have taken that chance.

We aren’t a circus, please don’t let the clown greet people at the door.
Tell her there has been an uprising of woke in the far upper right corner of Alberta. Maybe that’ll keep her occupied long enough that nobody has to know she’s here.

If they have to give every Premier a r9lle this is a good one. Initial greetings are superficial and quick. Let her do this and then get her out if the way.
