Even if she was the headliner and chose the date, she should be able to do so without parasocial crazies trying to run her life. Not everyone wants to or needs to put continued importance on these types of anniversaries. People are allowed to move forward with their own lives and grief.

MJ also kept the accusations out for 16 years. This symbolically marks HIStory, and Paris wants to celebrate it the way her father would: Perform!

I wouldn’t take time off every year on the anniversary of my father’s death and mourn after a long time; it wouldn’t work and no one would understand why.
