That’s a shame. I loved them in the late 80’s – early 90’s. Saw them open for Depeche Mode in 1990.

Got to see them in Cleveland at the Blossom Center in 2022 opening for NIN and Ministry and they were great. Recently I saw them again, sadly without Douglas, opening for Ministry in Detroit but Bon kicked ass out there on his own.

I saw Nitzer Ebb, opening for Depeche Mode two nights in a row, at Red Rocks Amphitheater. I was front row both nights. Their energy, visual and vocal style was great, and their music helped open up doors for many industrial, techno & EBM artists who followed. Their 1990 tour opener with Depeche Mode truly opened the Industrial genre to the masses, too. RIP, Douglas.

I’d think the dying was more of a contributing factor that ended the tour more so than the cirrhosis.
