Years of privatised water companies have left us with too much and too little water at the same time. Fucking Thatcher.
Every news report is the same. Focuses on weather and climate. How about what have the water companies been doing about it. Climate change has been a long term concern. When was the last reservoir built? How much has the population grown since then? They certainly will have been happy with extra cash a larger population brings im sure. Where did that go?
It’s too expensive these days to dig up tarmac roads in such an overpopulated country. Those leaking water pipes will never be fixed.
The water companies are out of business if they can’t make money without repairing the leaks
If only the water companies had been making record profits every year for decades, they could have reinvested that money in infrastructure.
Oh wait.

We had a very very wet winter, there is zero need for the uk to be short of water.
Aren’t we one of the wettest Countries in Europe? I bet hot and dry places like Spain and Italy are laughing at our complete incompetence. But I guess that’s what happens when you sell out a critical National resource to private industry.
Its funny, and also sad, because this still wont be a big enough warning sign to the government to force water companies to ACTUALLY DO THEIR FUCKING JOB.
They openly said paying their staff bonuses is more important than the water they provide.
These companies are run by scum, solely out to make money and look after themselves. They dont care, they wont change unless they are forced to.
