Trump is Trump and it’s only gonna get worse. The photos and videos we’re going to see from his bullshit big boy birthday parade on Saturday are going to be like something out of North Korea.
I know this is Canada Politics sub, but just watching the news and reading quotes, the Dems should be embarrassed. They need to grow some balls. If what happened today in California doesn’t kick them into gear, I don’t think anything does. If they want to keep going as a democracy, it can’t just be Gavin Newsom, Bernie, and AOC calling Trump an authoritarian and doing shit.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I prefer other countries over *the next guy’s* America, too. No matter which side of the political spectrum they come from.
Frankly – it’s moved beyond „prefer other countries“ to „I think our leaders need to condemn America’s actions“. Seeing what is happening in LA, especially today with Senator Alex Padilla and how DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s said that they are there to liberate the city from their democratically elected leaders, is scary. Our leadership needs to condemn actions like these, even if it is against our traditionally biggest trading partner and ally.
