Because if he says anything remotely bad about J6, then Daddy won’t like him anymore.
It was already litigated, in a court of law, and many J6ers were found guilty by said court of law. We didn’t ask to relitigate it, he was asked what the difference is.

The difference is he’s not allowed to speak badly about Jan 6th and he’s expected to speak badly about protests.
It’s frustrating how MAGA can’t concede this at all. I work with a lot of guys and most are conservative. So they’ve been talking about LA all week. They’ll say California’s „under attack by illegal immigrants“ and think Newsom is just kicking back and encouraging it. They think Trump is some kind of alpha male hero for sending out the National Guard and the Marines.
They think what is happening in LA is a criminal warzone while J6 was just a peaceful day of love. They just refuse to believe MAGA types would be violent mob types. And conservative outlets are still downplaying J6 while covering LA 24/7 like it’s just nonstop death, destruction and the city about to fall into flames.
And kind of an aside, Biden is getting absolutely trashed for his health and conservatives are trying to use it as a point to say Biden was both corrupt and had dementia, so to them Trump is having to work in overtime to „clean up the mess Biden left behind.“

What is there to litigate, J6’ers plead guilty and accepted a pardon. A pardon in these cases is an admission of guilt.

It feels like lost in all of this is how trump/MAGA phrases things to water down definitions of words like ‚insurrection‘. Now J6 wasn’t an insurrection but what’s happening in LA is. Just ignore the fact that J6 was literally about preventing the certification of a presidential election while LA is about protesting the presence of government agencies in the city. They are not the same thing.
The main difference is one of those events was intended to stop the peaceful transfer of power and install a dictator. That’s why 1600 people were in prison, and why the current President of the United States was under both federal and state indictments for his role in those efforts.

Let me help: The distinction was that on Jan 6 a sitting president incited a treasonous criminal mob with the intent to violently storm the capital and forcibly overturn the results of our election.
The LA protesters are engaged in a righteous fight for freedom, for our Constitution, for basic rights like habeas corpus and due process.
The latter group are heroes. The former group are a bunch of entitled criminal scumbags.
