Our military is majority degenerates, their only duty is in service of themselves and their warped desire for cruelty.

I’m watching ABC news. The military chief in LA just said they would continue protecting ICE and would “temporarily “ hold demonstrators if necessary. For now I guess.

I’m seeing various iterations of this posted everywhere, but everyone fails to understand that those who are actually being deployed aren’t lawyers. They don’t know how to interpret the law nor is it their job to.

If they are ordered to arrest/attack U.S. citizens on U.S. soil and refuse to do so they absolutely ***will*** get punished by U.S. military law if they disobey that order.

If the Marines in Los Angeles are ordered to arrest U.S. citizens they are probably going to do it. They aren’t going to wake up and read up on Constitutional Law before hitting the streets – they are just going to follow orders.

This isn’t even touching the other aspect of this – who’s to say that the Marines in Los Angeles are against attacking/arresting U.S. citizens on U.S. soil? I can guarantee you a decent amount of them are loving Trump’s recent authoritarianism.

I just don’t put my faith in what is essentially the dumbest people from high schools getting no more real education and handed a gun.

Can you refuse an order in the military?
If an individual in the military determines that an order is illegal or unconstitutional, they have a „duty to disobey,“ which means it’s their right and responsibility to disobey the order, according to the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

    6. Yeah sure, just like those military members who went and beat protestors so Trump could have that photo op with an upside-down Bible had the duty to disobey, and wouldn’t you know it? They gladly went and beat protestors.

Anyone thinking that the military is going to save democracy is so out of touch, I don’t know what else to say.

Really you think someone with a 30% APR loan for a Dodge charger is going to save us? Lmao get real.

If the military is the last guardrail, then our democracy is finished. They will do what they have been trained to do from the day they enlisted; namely *follow orders*

Here is the problem. The states elected that vile representation of man. Then he started to collapse the government. While he did that he also moved on the pentagon to cut senior generals who would have upheld their constitutional responsibilities. Now you are the moment when you realize that a criminal has taken over the country, cut government, removed safeguards, and now there is no one official who can or will do anything. You are down to the right to bear arms. The reason you fought for this right was to rise and protect the country you hold dear. Well looks like you are there everyone. I wish you luck on getting back your freedom.

Many Americans are learning that the constitution, like everything else, is more open to interpretation than they realized

I think this is a bit fanciful tbh, now if hundreds of thousands of US military forces do that then yes but if an individual refuses a direct order from their superior then that’s Court martial.

I think the biggest moment will be if the US military is ordered to shoot at unarmed peaceful protesters and then what happens ?

I have a bad feeling that the troops and equipment being put in place in DC are going to be longer than we think.

Listen to me. They. Will. Not. Disobey. They are killers and only know how to kill. That’s it. God i really pray that somehow or something will sway the military to stop. Soon post like these will be unlawful

    13. People who joined the military are morons. Suckers and losers! They can’t wait to goose step down Pennsylvania Avenue and salute their Dear Leader and go off to Iran to bomb some brown people 💪🔥🇮🇷✈️🚀🔥🇺🇸

Lets see if they are willing to turn on their friends, families, and neighbors

    15. I don’t expect frontline to question their leadership, but it would only take a couple of Flag Ranked Officers to refuse these obviously illegal orders and have Trump placed in handcuffs.

They won’t and it’s sad , all the things I believed about this country and its morals and who we are as a people is crumbling before our eyes . Kinda surprised a bunch of tough guy military won’t stand up for our country .

Sending Americans to attack and brutalize other Americans. So patriotic.

    18. On a related note, isn’t it fascinating how modern society is held up by the mere hope that people just do the right thing

    19. The racist ones wont. This is a loyalist roll call. Watch them purge the military of anyone who disobeys or protests this bs parade in the near future. Once that happens America is officially Nazi Germany, NK etc. it’s the final cog in the wheel.

    20. Infinite-Process7994 on

The whole oath to support the constitution, not the people in power, doesn’t mean anything. They raped the fed workforce and everyone followed improper orders to ensure their job.

Honest question – risk vs reward thought since the vast majority of us work our asses off to make ends meet

How do we all make a difference? I’m proud of the protests, but I want to have an effect with some pain to make the billionaires shut up and listen. I don’t need to convince my dipshit uncle.

Sorry y’all. I guess I got a warning for this post. Apologies for being to’o inflammatory ‚

    22. Putrid-Economy8340 on

Liberals are funny, I would say the president is well within his rights to send the military against civilians. It’s actually in the oath that military personnel take when they enlist “I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed” I would dare say looting and burning things makes you an enemy of the state.
