The fact that sony was never going to release this movie and then it was about to get leaked. The whole drama around this movies release was insane. But i hope people to stop being sensitive so they can enjoy such movies which have dark humour.
I love that Obama said it was a mistake for theatres to pull the movie and then it was streaming on Christmas Day. Watching the interview is now a family tradition.
What’s funny is that this film had such a disastrous release, I didn’t hear about the film until like a year after release. As for all the controversy around the film, I didn’t hear until *years* later, and only because of Reddit.
Couldn’t come back? Lol! 80% of Hollywood would love to Mitzvah one of their own.

What a fun film. Way to go Seth.
Honestly thought the entire debacle was hilarious to watch. Especially reading how petty and awful everyone at Sony was to each other. It was especially funny when I finally saw the movie & it was so stupid— which I mean as a compliment. Like, the fact that NK got SO PISSED that a major plot point was that “liking margaritas makes you gay”. That, and Kim Un’s head getting blown off.
Didn’t this movie result in the Sony hack that directly lead to Spiderman being allowed to be used in the MCU?
I think the movie is a perfectly great Seth Rogan stoner comedy. The controversy for sure made people think the movie had something important or elevated to say as movie. Which is a bummer.
I honestly love this movie.
