This conduct is illegal, as per DOD Directive 1344.10, which is basically the uniform version of the Hatch Act, the directive that provides guidance to federal employees’ political conduct.
In a perfect world, those expressing political opinions while on duty would be dishonorably discharged.

Weird when that one uniformed armed forces member said something on camera all I saw was people telling me how big of a deal it is to make political statements while in uniform and that she is likely to be dishonorably discharged if not court-martialed for making it.

Those of us who know the history of fascism are not surprised by this. It’s more like checking off boxes on a pre-printed list.
If I were the POTUS or senior Defense official somewhere down the road after this MAGA fever dream breaks, I would get the names of every one of the soldiers in attendance at this event and in military tradition discipline every one that was there. I would make it known to all attendees that their military career was over. Their path to advancement had hit a brick wall and all that they could look forward to was a demeaning position in either a mosquito infested backwater or froze hellscape for as long as they remained enlisted. It would be made clear that there would be no tolerance for displays of partisan political affiliation while in uniform and any demonstration of loyalty to anything other than the Constitution would be effectively committing career suicide.
I’d like to remind those troops what Trump thinks of them. They’re all a bunch of Little Marco Rubio’s, let Trump shit all over them and then kiss his feet. Fucking sad group of soldiers, period.

Those soldiers violated the Uniform Code of Military Justice when they attended that event in uniform. They’ve dishonored themselves and their unit.
Remember in 2022 when Biden gave a speech about Trump and the dangers of authoritarianism while he was flanked by two marines? Fox News and the right lost their f***ing minds over it, even CNN criticized him over it. But of course, not a peep from the right over this.
