> Right-wing conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer advanced a claim the images were created by artificial intelligence. Others said the photos contained metadata that proved them a sham. And X’s AI bot Grok initially dismissed the photos, saying they „likely originated from Afghanistan.“
>So widespread were the claims, and so detailed, that fact-checking organizations Snopes and Politifact launched inquiries. And then, on Tuesday, the Pentagon confirmed the images were authentic.
>“The soldiers you saw in the photo were resting as they were not currently on mission and due to the fluid security situation, it was deemed too dangerous for them to travel to better accommodations,“ a Defense Department spokesperson told Snopes.
Well any answer out of GROK and Laura Loomer are bound to be equally 💩 takes.

They also called the protesters, fake, and Antifa (which ironically means anti-fascists) , and even called them paid-protesters. Lying is what they do best!

The right don’t care about the reality. They just want to make great propaganda tv shows paid by Russia and don’t care about anything else.

I see headlines like this, and then think about how much conservatives adore obviously fake AI slop. And, I’ve come to a conclusion. It’s further training their base to believe in lies and doubt reality. Also likely a form of loyalty testing. And passing those tests to feel further integrated into the cult hive mind is probably part of the fun for them.

They’re demonstrating fiscal responsibility by not feeding or housing them. It’s already costing $134 million for the unwanted, unneeded deployment. Think how much more it would be if they were also fed and housed! Government Efficiency at work!

This same thing happened for weeks after Jan 6th. The National Guard were sleeping on the floors of the congressional buildings. Before they were kicked outside to the parking garages – during winter. Congressional members saw them and were mortified so they got them shelter. Congress knows this is reality, no matter what they will inevitably say. I can’t forget any of those images from that day, or the weeks after.
I’m not comparing the 2 events just the sleeping on the floor similarities. They also didn’t have enough bathrooms or food either. The community, chefs, etc. stepped in to help.

Fake? It was my understanding that sleeping on the ground in a place you have no desire to be is a pretty standard military experience. Am I incorrect?

Somewhere in the cost of this fiasco is a huge bill to some private contractor food food and lodging. 500/night per to sleep on the floor and $100 day for MREs.
Oh it must be more than that, cuz they figured this would cost 145 mill

Another fun thing… National Guard members only get pay reimbursement if deployed 30 days or more. Thats why the Orange Turd and the Pentagon Dummy deployed them for 29 days. Wake up Armed Forces, the admin has no regard for you. Defend our Constitution and rise against the traitors in charge. Don’t let Trump use you for his evil.
