      It’s nice to hear an eloquent and rational voice anywhere in our government these days. Donald Trump may be the president, but in this exact moment Newsom just might be the most important person in the country.

      Trump sees Newsom as the biggest contender in the 2028 election, and is trying to delegitimize him ASAP.  Unfortunately for Donnie Diaper, he sent his call log to FOX, and proved he did not in fact talk to Newsom on June 9.  Trump’s base will somehow believe the lies… but as usual, there will be a lot of mental gymnastics.

      Jesus, do I wish more democrats were out there with this level of fire and purpose.

      While I’m at it, I also wish more of our government officials could string this many coherent thoughts together in a logical, meaningful order.

      But mostly, I wish more of us were way less comfortable and way more noisy about this growing political darkness.

      So yeah, thanks to Gavin Newsom — you’re in the thick of it right now, and we all appreciate you not playing it quiet/“safe” — this moment matters and what we do with it will matter for a long time.

      For better or worse (likely worse, look at his social record in CA) Trump has just thrown rocket fuel on Newsom’s presidential ambitions.

      Name recognition is likely to carry Newsom now. Let’s hope we actually have a Democratic primary so we can get somebody not so eager to be cozy with billionaires, MAGA, and transphobes. The only thing Newsom might hate as much as Republicans is homeless people.

      But if Newsom wants to take an axe to Republicans, maybe that’s enough for 2028. Cutting out the rot is part of the total solution that we need. Lord knows Biden wasn’t willing to do it and look where we are now…

      PROTESTORS – Wear red, white and blue NOT black. This will make the actions taken by the bad acting authorities more apparent.
      If all the protestors getting shot with rubber bullets are wrapped in the American flag, it switches the entire story.

      Wearing black is giving them the visual they want.
      Wear the American flag, it’s what we’re fighting for.
