Good for the Liberals if true, he turns off the moderates and scares NDP and Bloc voters to the Liberals. If the Conservatives actually want to have a shot at winning they need to make Kenney leader or something (check his recent media appearances and social media posts, he’s clearly chomping at the bit to be party leader).

The Conservatives whine that the Liberals keep wining but they consistently create a circus and surround themselves with clowns.

      You reap what you sow.

The problem is the Conservatives haven’t told themselves they lost yet. They keep acting like they made a win out of a loss. They haven’t. They simply lost.

What a silly move. The CPC has to know that the main reason they had that election thrown away was how PP looked to voters. Mark Carney is up there doing their platform better than them and they think that staying the course is the right idea? They were riding on the complete ineptitude of Trudeau, but their base actually is liking Mark Carney. Insane shit, they need to find someone who can compete on Carney’s level and quickly.

The  Conservatives are a strong party when they are in the opposition benches. If they truly want to get into the government bench, the upper brass should recognize that Canadians do not want Poilievre to be PM. If they topple the minority government, the Liberals will have a majority.

I ask this question in good faith but I’ve abandoned hope of receiving an answer.

How on earth do the Tories continue to support a man who went from 25% ahead to 3% behind? Just practically I can’t fathom how someone can be held to no standards at all like this.

    7. I’m not sure he has a choice.

He’s running in one of the most conservative ridings in Canada. The last guy got 82.84% of the vote. He will win, but he needs to win it as big as the previous guy.

His leadership is in peril if his win significantly underperforms Damien Kurek’s win. And it could happen if a Alberta separatist candidate runs.
