      Look, there are a ton of fires to put out, and it’s going to take a long, long, long time to fix what’s broken (and what will be broken).

      But if you want to do something useful, and don’t already have a productive outlet, donate some of your time and energy to local literacy projects.

      The Enlightenment, and everything that came from it (like our founding) came from people who read books, from people whose minds were trained and formed by reading books, who thought with a typographic mind and built a governmental system that relied on typographic minds.

      If Mississippi can improve their literacy, so can your community.

      Get kids off Tiktok and into a book.

      RFK Jr may be aligned with the „deep ecology“ movement that wants to see a „substantial depopulation“ of the planet to prevent further global warming. We may be one pandemic away from their wishes.

      Fascism is always a death cult. It may be colonialist, or imperialist, or not…fascist movements aren’t monolithic, just as the societies they rise in are not monolithic- but they are always predisposed to violence, and they are always, inevitably, death cults.
