    1. Indeed.

In this situation, the enemy of my enemy is my enemy’s enemy, nothing more, nothing less.

Elon is political poison for any candidate forever.

No money is worth his stench.

Just an attention whore who could not pass up his $56B pay package despite of legal challenges. As much as he tries to fool people that he quit DOGE for greater good

    4. thecrunchypepperoni on

Are people actually doing this? From what I see, people on the left are sharing that message. People on the right are convinced the left loves him again.

Of course, Bill Maher said something ridiculous in an attempt to be edgy and iconoclastic.

      >On Friday night’s episode of *Real Time With Bill Maher*, for instance, Maher [argued](https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5338457-maher-democrats-elon-musk-joe-rogan/) that Democrats should aim to “win [Musk] back.” He claimed that, though Musk had previously supported Barack Obama and backed Joe Biden’s campaign in 2020, Musk had been “driven into the other camp by bad attitudes and bad ideas.”

Sadly, it’s not just the media.

      > According to [reporting](https://www.semafor.com/article/06/06/2025/khanna-steps-up-his-work-to-pull-musk-toward-democrats) from *Semafor*, progressive Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), whose congressional district includes Silicon Valley, is trying to convince Musk to back Democrats in the coming midterm elections:

I will NOT support any Democrat candidate if dare fall back in love with Musk
The guy is a leech and the most biggest welfare queen of all .

If Democrats do end up gaining momentum back
One thing they better not do is get back into a love affair with this scum bag .

Yeah no one wants him. Deport him to the Lesotho diamond mines and make him do one day of hard labor for every life he ruined.

No but definitely fuck with him and goad him into doing something dumb

This is the man that gutted humanitarian aid which likely killed 300,000 people all while bragging about feeding them to the wood chipper. If democrats took him in, it would absolutely tear the party apart

    11. Don’t want him dont need him, and even after the massive crash out he still supports the stuff Trump is doing

That nazi bitch can go fuck himself

Unlike the Republican base who will latch onto whatever shiny object dear leader and his propagandists put in front of them, Democratic voters generally don’t have the memory of a goldfish and hold people accountable for their actions… sometimes to too much of an extent because they will look decades into the past to find a reason to not like someone, which is why people find some of them so insufferable.

    13. I don’t see him wanting to come back, but if he actually sees the errors of his ways, I have no problem with it. Who the fuck are the many principled leaders in the Democratic Party taking common sense progressive stances anyway? I mostly see a bunch of comprised hypocrites on both sides in congress.

    14. Doesn’t matter? What happened? Nothing at all. Not a damn thing. He “left”, made headlines for a few days, then nothing. It’s over, he’s already old news. It’s fucked up but this is the Trump world we live in.

Where does this idea that Musk was a Democrat come from? Because he bought an EV manufacturer?

    16. I can tell you I’ll be voting against anyone who takes his money in the primaries.

    17. Kingding_Aling on

Oh Jacobin and your strawman coverage.

Are the liberals trying to „woo back Musk“ in the room with us now?

    18. I’m sure some ghoulish Dem will try, but I think the Dem Oligarchy will be perfectly fine using Elon Musk as their Greater Villain Trope to deflect attention away from their own villainy

„We need to sacrifice Lina Khan, Medicare 4 All, and abandon tech regulation because we need Reed Hoffman and Mark Cuban to defeat people like Elon Musk“ is something I expect a version of from the „Abundance“ wing in the coming months and years.

Same way they are attempting to redirect the anti-oligarchy sentiment into the anti king sentiment.

    19. Agreed but let’s encourage his burn all the bridges and air all the dirty laundry in his current breakup with Trump.

    20. Best way is to just cheer him on while he fights with the right. Let them do the work

„By the start of the war, Hess was sidelined from most important decisions, and many in Hitler’s inner circle thought him to be mad“

Not unlike the MAGA inner circle, thinking Musk has gone mad. Apples and oranges, I know.

Musk can take his Nazi saluting arm and shove it up his ass for all I care. He’s not one of us

I think everyone would be pleased if he left the world alone and just never came back.

He has the emotional control of a poorly raised teenager. Eventually, he always pisses everyone off. I just hope he turns on Trump proper. Dishes all the secrets. Not that I’d trust him, but it will be gratifying to watch.

    25. That’s exactly what American politics is if we drop “billionaires”. They kiss ass to any narcissistic asshole now.

Got take: the DJT-EM spat is staged. Let Tesla stock crash, tell buddies they’re gonna make up, make up, buddies rake in the cash as stocks rise.

    27. Elon is cancer but some moderate Dem or Republican will take his money and try to downplay his influence. It is the nature of capitalism.

The only real way to stop him is to either legally prevent him from interfering in more elections or the more effective route of taking all his money and deporting him.

He made his fortune off of American contracts and then attacked our government and people. That should have consequences.

    28. He ain’t coming back. He has what he wanted.
I bet this big feud is just more diversion from whatever that worm stole. Like your information.

    29. Vegetable_Lime_8188 on

He’s not misunderstood he’s just not aligned with progress, accountability, or basic decency anymore.

    30. Conservatives think this is them against liberals. Red vs Blue, Black and white. I don’t think it registers in their brain that it is about rich vs poor. So Elon must be back in with the libs, right?

      DOINK

    31. Two things can be true at the same time, 1) it’s good that elona is giving shit to trump and I want him to make the empire implode, 2) elona is still a nazi scumbag who deserves as equal downfall and lose everything
