You don’t win people over by doing this, you win by rising above it – especially those on his side of the aisle. If you take issue with attacks, be clear and incisive in your rebuttals, not this weird personal schoolyard shit. If you do find yourself acting this petty, at least apologize and make it clear that you don’t endorse that kind of behaviour.
