Man I will just say vets are not owed any particular vets. Especially since the US army’s is a volunteer army. https://youtu.be/LPquarz16wQ?si=12x5GzUzVjLRufWq

As just some old punk on the internet, the punk genre is in the perfect place to have its renaissance. There was a time when people though Punk and Politics don’t or shouldn’t mix. But anyone in the scene has always known that they are tied together. With fascism on the rise and the erosion of our liberties and institutions, it really has never been a better time to be punk.

    3. Good luck with that.

Republicans have been shitting on vets for decades and yet vets still vote for them

      >We’re at the throats of one another, though we share a single fate

      >And the golden few laugh on and on, as we all take the bait.“

It’s rare I feel seen as a leftist veteran who loves punk rock. Wish I could have been there!

    6. I can’t thank my high school social studies teacher enough for putting me in Dropkick Murphys, they’ve been one of my top bands ever since

    7. Army vet here – I was there yesterday and it was a great event!

Dropkick Murphys killed it, a few people spoke (personally I thought Senator Tammy Duckworth was the best speaker), and there was a good feeling of veterans, federal workers, and others showing solidarity in favor of democracy.

I hope there will be many more rallies like that one!
