I’d kinda forgotten that ol‘ Tommy boy was a Scientologist there. Yikes
One of those Scientology docs showed that he wanted to leave Scientology 15 or 20 years ago, but ended up staying a Scientologist, at least publicly. That said he does not talk about Scientology or preach Scientology or anything. My thoughts, are they asked him not to publicly leave either by using their common threat of revealing his dark secrets that they like to collect, or he’s just paid to stay a Scientologist in name only. Either way I truly don’t understand the mountain of hate this guy Goetz for being a Scientologist. Who gives a shit? Is it so much worse than being in any other religion that has its share of extremists and kooks?
So – not really different from hiring an aggressive PR firm?
If you’re willing to hate on someone for being a Scientogist but not a Muslim or a Jew or a Christian, you’re a bigot. Plain and simple.
Can you imagine remembering who Leah Remini was without thinking “oh yeah the lady with the scientology thing”
It’s someone’s beliefs, unfortunately like most organizations, churches, and religions they are all guilty of some horrible shit. Seems more like they might have manipulated him during a rough time in his life, and possibly have blackmail on him, and he’s tried to distance himself as much as he can. All I know is that he’s nothing but extremely respectful and personable to everyone he works with, including crew not just his fellow actors, even paying everyone’s wages during a Covid shut down. He’s definitely insane, but I don’t think that makes him a bad person.

Thats like saying I was surprised XYZ was apart of any religion. Say what you want about Scientology, but Christianity and every other religion has done even more harm over its existence. Scientology is just the new one.
It’s so disheartening that in private he’s part if not leading such a terrible cult, when he seems like such a lovely guy in his public and how his coworkers speak about him.

Yeah I can. I’m not really sure what’s difficult to imagine about Cruise being an actor without scientology. Does she think that the church is killing potential mission impossible replacements or something?

The cult’s leader’s parents literally had to escape to get out of it. Like physically escape in their car.
I haven’t watched a Tom Cruise movie in 10 years.
So he’s part of a cult. At this point a third of the country is part of a cult.
At least he’s good to people, and better yet not discriminating on who he’s good to.
