He needs to be in front of cameras for interviews as much as possible. The gross abuse that happened to Abrego Garcia needs to be publicized, in his own words, to highlight the threats posed to our liberty by this criminal Administration.
Surely if convicted he gets credit for time served.

Oh man, thank god he’s still alive. I’m glad he’s coming back and getting an actual day in court. That’s what real law & order looks like MAGA.
I understand the charges alleged, maybe they are true, but just for one moment, let’s all take a step back and recall this administration stated this man would never return and flouted the courts at every turn.
The fact he is returning is a win for the judicial system and separation of powers.
This was a staredown between the executive and judicial branch and the exeutive branch just blinked.
If this man is guilty of the alleged charges prove it in court and sentence him accordingly, but no matter what that outcome will be this was a win for the rule of law in our country and the first brick in Trump’s wall to fall and may be the start of that wall to crumble.
Between this and the Elon/Trump „Housewives of D.C“ cat fight I’m cautiously optomistic for mid terms and our country’s future.
The government’s claim is that he was trafficking members of the same gang he fled El Salvador for fear of being killed. And doing it for years, but they only uncovered this in the last two months, after admitting they wrongly deported him.
This is going to be a flashpoint. Once he’s actually back and in a courthouse, it really doesn’t matter what a judge or lawyers say. If this country is what I think it is – and should be – there will simply be too many people around the building, coming to his defence on terms of basic human decency – for anything other than his release and return to happen.

So repeated claims from Bondi, Noem, and the Press Secretary were that he would never, ever come back to the US, and if he were to, he would immediately be deported. This is why you shouldn’t make statements like that, and public-facing people are USUALLY instructed to be non-specific when discussing hot-button or sensitive issues.
Now they just look like they didn’t know what was going on, and were just desperately trying to copy the phony Wild-West shtick this administration has been ramming down the US‘ throats.
It’s because a judge ruled he can seek sanctions against the government and because the government is trying to get the lawsuit for his „mistaken“ deportation dismissed. Bunch of inept fuckwits.

What about all the others sent to El Salvador? Why aren’t they being brought back? A judge ruled a few days ago that they should be brought back.

Bondi is at the podium alleging he did things he wasn’t charged with. That’s not DOJ policy. So even while they’re fixing their screw ups, they’re still doing things the DOJ shouldn’t be allowed to do. Bringing up things you’re not charging him with can prejudice a jury.
