Erhurman openly stated that these should be reversed even.
TCs do want settlers less than GCs, and if anyone is willing let settlers to stay, then it’d be the EU than anyone else, minus Turkey. The overall attitude is about being fine with regular migrants, not being fine with vast majority of the settlers, and not being fine with anyone but a few getting citizenship after a solution minus cases like the spouses of TCs.
That being said, it’d surely funny to see the ’so-called‘ rhetoric for a Turkish reader, as it’s also their discourse regarding various other things.
