I will never hate on a celeb for using their platform to actually help people, especially if it is for a noble cause or initiative. Sometimes causes need a face that can be recognizable to make people care. We just need to be careful of who represents said causes. Because a person with faults on their records can tank their cause or initiative (Ashton Kutcher is a great recent example).

People can have a checkered past, but those same people need to acknowledge it and not push it away. Someone recently walked me through Paris Hilton’s recent history and her acknowledgement of her initial rise to fame (which was what I knew her for), and she seems like she’s really grown as a person. And her not going the traditional route of collecting money for a BS self-owned charity, and her actual working with legislatures (probably even paying for time, let’s be honest) and getting a bill through shows that.

    2. One of the main stories she pushed to get her bill passed was girl I grew up with (school, Sunday school, sports, etc.)

Let’s just say, the girl I know’s story about her boarding school doesn’t exactly match the reality we all knew. Not saying the conditions of the school wasn’t rough, but she tells a lot of lies about why she ended up there. Also claims the school made her a drug addict (she was sent because she was addicted to hard drugs in early high school).

    3. I still remember 15-year-old me walking into a shady CD store and seeing her
sex tape. In a sudden rush of bravery, I told the clerk I wanted to buy it. I am
tall, but I have my school backpack with me; there’s no way I look like I am
over 18, yet he sold it to me, maybe for my bravery, maybe he didn’t give a
shit. That’s how i will remember her. Good times.

She’ll be remembered as a self-centered POS who thinks doing a couple of good deeds for media attention will make everyone forget how totally useless she’s been. A person’s legacy is established over an entire lifetime not just as they approach the finish line.

what did she do to protect children? is she protecting her own kids by showing them online? she’s still whoring herself out for fame so what has really changed?

    6. Its one of the few things she’s done worthy of being proud of so that makes sense.

Even the people you hate, can be capable of good things.

Good for you paris. I probably won’t remember this above all of the other dumb and racist shit you’ve pulled, but won’t deny where you got something right.

There’s a certain video of her that she may be remembered for, her kids will probably also see it someday
